SOLWAY MUSIC is based in the far north west of England and is run by Brian Melville a professional educator and musician with experience spanning more than 40 years. He is using his expertise and in involvement in music to provide a support service for schools and the local community. Solway Music has a variety of bands available capable of playing a wide cross section of music.

Swingthing is a jazz / swing / function band specialising in weddings, celebrations, parties and corporate engagements. This is a versatile group of musicians that can easily provide music for your wedding or function that will cater for a wide spectrum of tastes in music from jazz to swing through to pop. A feature of this band is the fabulous voice of Ronnie Walker which enables the band to visit the days of swing music and the infamous “rat pack.” We have performed not only in Cumbria and the Lake District but in venues throughout the UK.
