Swingland can help your event go with a swing - from a fun beginners dance class to break the ice to specialised tuition and choreography. We can provide dance demonstrations and performances for private parties, corporate events and Festivals, and dancers and choreography for film, TV and video.

Private parties - a fun beginners swing dance class is a great ice-breaker at birthday parties and weddings, especially where the theme is 1920s, 30s or 40s, and can also be a fun afternoon option for a hen party. We can also provide recorded music of the era and have contacts with some fantastic swing bands too!

If you've hired a swing band for your wedding, why not have a fun class to entertain your guests and show them a few steps to do during the reception? Swing is the perfect music for a wedding - romantic, joyful and popular with all ages. We don't usually recommend having a dance demonstration - your wedding is about you - but a fun class is an excellent option!

We teach Lindy hop and related dances, including East Coast ("6-count") Swing, Charleston and authentic Jazz dance.

Lindy hop (also known as Jitterbug or Jive) is the original style of swing dancing - from the dance halls of 1920s and 30s Harlem to the worldwide swing craze of the 1940s and the rock'n'roll of the 1950s. Over the last 20-30 years swing dancing has been enjoying a renaissance - and London is one of the major cities driving this revival!
