Although the house itself cannot be accessed, the estate and surrounding parkland provide a blank canvas for creating the perfect wedding. Adjacent to the Priory is a large flat area of lawn, originally the site of Wherwell Abbey until the fire of 1227, which is perfectly suited for marquees of any shape or size. It is a beautiful wedding venue on a hundred-acre island in the middle of the river Test in Hampshire. Wherwell Priory is a stunning, historical site - and perfect for a wedding - positioned right beside the lovely church at Wherwell, in the heart of the village, but surrounded by magnificent grounds and parkland. The estate is family-owned and the number of weddings is strictly limited. It is available on an exclusive-use basis only. Wherwell Priory costs £2,000 to rent, venue only. Prices for complete venue packages vary.
